Laurie Wolf founded StarLadies Racing in 2015 with a vision to bring together female racing enthusiasts for an unforgettable experience through thoroughbred ownership, both in the United States and abroad. At StarLadies Racing, we create a lively atmosphere where our StarLadies and StarFillies shine, making every moment of our partnership special.

Our Performance
We are tremendously proud of our StarLadies stable, AKA “StarFillies”, and we strive to achieve and even surpass these numbers every year. Below are our stats from 2015-Current.
Our Stellar Fillies
- ESKENFORMONEY
- Career earnings: $757,616. A multiple graded stakes winning and stakes placed filly that put StarLadies on the map. She won the Rampart Stakes and the Turnback The Alarm Stakes. Both are grade III races. Our StarLadies team cheered her on to placing in more than a half dozen graded stakes. Quite simply, she was amazing!
- FIRSTHAND REPORT
- Career earnings: $331,395. A beautiful filly that romped over the boys in the Alphabet Soup Stakes. A very special win for our filly and our ladies group! Firsthand Report’s major wins include the Alphabet Soup Stakes, the Power by Far Stakes and the Lyphard Stakes.
- TAKECHARGEDELILAH
- Career earnings: $260,390. An Ohio-bred filly that was the winner of one of Ohio’s top stakes: the Best of Ohio Distaff.
- TONASAH
- Career earnings: $196,660. Tonasah is a multiple graded stakes placed filly who ended her career with a win. She went on to broodmare-duty with Stonestreet, selling in the Keeneland November sale for $385,000. She was popularized by Paulick Report’s Natalie Voss, who wrote this endearing article.
- ORBOLUTION
- Career earnings: $164,150. A graded stakes–winning, and graded stakes-placed filly that was a Breeders Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf participant in 2017! She sold to Hinkle Farms at the Fasig-Tipton Summer Select for $325,000.
- PRANK
- Career Earnings: $57,750. This knock-out filly broke her maiden impressively at Saratoga by over 9 lengths. She then sold in the Keeneland November sale for $1,600,000 and is now a broodmare at Coolmore Stud.
- AIROSA
- Career Earnings: $177,038. A Canadian-bred filly by Uncle Mo, had a successful racing career with 2 wins, including the $125,000 Catch a Glimpse Stakes at Woodbine, and a second-place finish in the Prince of Wales Stakes, part of Canada’s Triple Crown. In 2024, she was sold at the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale for $435,000 as a broodmare prospect. She now resides at Gainesway Farm.
As you can see some of our StellarFillies have gone on to retire to some of the most respected breeding operations in the industry. It is thanks to fine mares like these, and the stud farms, that our breed and sport continue to improve.

As stated above, StarLadies is indeed for THE ladies! We are an a fun and small partnership that takes pride in maintaining an intimate group of women each year. This ensures that every StarLady owns a significant stake in each filly, allowing you to truly enjoy the ownership experience. Keeping our partnership between 8-12 women helps us to create an incredible journey that we embark on together, experiencing high-end racing and travel experiences that go beyond the ordinary.

StarLadies Abroad
StarLadies has been lucky enough to have had fillies compete at premier race meets across the United States and abroad. In 2019, Laurie Wolf created two new divisions: StarLadies France and StarLadies Australia, teaming up with Anna Seitz and It’s All About the Girls Racing. This same year marked our inaugural trip to France where we got all of our StarLadies and It’s All About the Girls Racing together in Paris and Chantilly. It was a fantastic trip and we all had a blast exploring French culture and racing together.
We may not currently have horses in training in France or Australia, but that doesn’t mean the excitement stops! We continue to curate unforgettable ladies’ trips abroad, combining good times, and world-class racing. Join us and our wonderful StarLadies partners for an exclusive journey to experience the elegance of international horse racing firsthand—because the thrill of the sport is always better when shared!

When to Join*
Our partner buy-in season is NOW and closes in March. Please let us know of your interest in joining Starlight or StarLadies any time of year, and join our newsletter to keep up to date on our news, events, and milestones!
*Buy-ins occur on a yearly basis and are for partnership horses purchased in that year only. This allows us to keep our partner-base intimate while passing on the greatest benefit possible to our partners. Please also see our FAQs page to learn more about pricing and how our model works.
