Corbin Blumberg joined Starlight Racing in 2020 as Racing Manager. He is a recent graduate of the prestigious Godolphin Flying Start program, a two-year full-time management and leadership training scholarship specializing in thoroughbred horse racing and breeding. It includes living, studying and gaining hands-on experience in Ireland, UK, USA, Australia and Dubai. While in the course he worked with Solis/Litt Bloodstock, Magic Millions in Australia, and Zabeel Stables in Dubai.
Corbin was born and raised in Maryland where he quickly developed a passion for horse racing. He grew up riding and competing horses. He is an avid foxhunter and enthusiastic sports fan. In 2011, Corbin began his professional career working for Kentucky Derby winning trainer Graham Motion. While under his tutelage, he learned all aspects of training racehorses. He went on to work four additional summers with the team at Herringswell Stables in Fair Hill MD, Saratoga Springs, and Lexington, Kentucky.
Corbin attended the University of Kentucky and received a B.S. in equine science and management. Upon graduation in 2017, he became the first international applicant accepted into the British Horseracing Graduate Development Programme. While in the program he worked in London for the British Horseracing Authority in Integrity and Regulation.
After returning to the states, Corbin worked in the racing office at Laurel Park and Pimlico for the Maryland Jockey Club. During his time there he took entries, helped coordinate stake races and processed claims.
Corbin brings what he has learned around the world in the racing industry and an everyday enthusiasm and passion to the Starlight team.
