Vincent “Vinny” Tatum
Starlight Racing, StarLadies Racing
Vinny Tatum joined Starlight Racing after being a member of the University of Louisville Basketball staff for 16 years. While at the University of Louisville, Tatum coordinated both the men’s basketball team travel for 16 seasons as well as their equipment needs for the last 10 seasons. He also served two years as the Director of the Yum! Center practice facility during its planning and construction.
For four years prior to that, he was the Executive Assistant to Head Coach, Rick Pitino. Tatum also was on the Board of the Daniel Pitino Foundation were he helped organize their annual charity golf tournament.
Tatum served as a student manager from 1990-93 under Pitino at the University of Kentucky, where he studied business. During his college years, Tatum worked two summers at Lane’s End, where he assisted with their yearlings leading into the summer sales. After leaving University of Kentucky in 1993, Tatum spent nine years in his family’s trucking business in Jeffersonville, Indiana, where he was Operations Manager.
An avid sports fan, Tatum enjoys travel, horse racing, boating and other outdoor activities. Tatum is a native of Harrodsburg, Kentucky, and he and his wife Sarah currently live in Louisville, Kentucky. Sarah is a pre-school teacher at Norton Commons Elementary.
